Rack royal can be played with a 10-ball rack or 9-ball rack.

1-ball at the apex. The rack pattern should follow standard napa 10-ball and 9-ball racks.

In the 9-ball format the 9-ball is considered the “royal ball”.

The breaker gets "1 ball made” for every ball made on the break, with the exception of the “royal ball”. The “royal ball” must spot immediately if made on the break and does not count as a ball made.

If the breaker fouls on the break, any balls made are considered dead balls and do not count as balls made.

Push is not allowed after the break.

Safety down is not allowed.

Defensive shots are allowed.

Foul on the break is ball in hand anywhere on the table.

At the beginning of your session your League Operator has the option to make Rack Royal loser racks or winner racks.
